Dear Keiko, thank you for your site on onsen in Osaka City and it gets my excited to try the onsen.
I will be travelling with my 2 young adult daughters in Dec 17 and would like to visit these onsen. However, does these onsen; those five you recommended have family or private baths? are they expensive? my daughter has tattoo on her body.
Dear Lily,
Thank you for the inquiry.
These 5 onsens don’t have private onsen.
Nobeha no Yu has private onsen, but no tattoos are allowed even private baths.

Keiko, thanks for your article! I would like to visit an onsen with my wife, but I know that some are restricted to just women. Do any of these allow for men and women together, but in separate areas?
Hi,
Thank you for the inquiry.
I’m sorry I didn’t get the meaning “Do any of these allow for men and women together, but in separate areas?”
Are you looking for a private onsen or a onsen where men and women can bath together in a swimsuit?
Kind regards,
Keiko

Dear Erik,
Thank you so much for your comments.
I used to go to that Onsen almost everyday when I lived near Kitakagaya station.
