First of all what is express pass?Express pass will shorten the waiting time for designated popular attractions.
When entering the park, a separate Studio Pass (entry ticket) such as a 1 Day Studio Pass is also required.
There are Express Pass 7,Express Pass 4,Express pass 3.
7,4,3 are the numbers of attractions you can shorten the waiting time.

May I ask, I looked into the USJ website. And I saw the price of Entry Pass and Express pass is about the same, around 6000++ yen. If I want the express pass, do I have to pay the Express pass alone, which is 6000+ yen? or do I need to buy one entry pass, and then buy another Express pass (which add up to about 12000++ yen)??

For example, if it’s Express Pass 4 Standard, you can choose JAWS or Backdraft.You can also choose 1 attraction among Space Fantasy The Ride,Jurassic Park The Ride and Terminator 2:3-D.

Great article about express pass! I’m planning on going next month, and see that there’s Cool Japan 2017 happening. I would like to do Attack on Titan and Conan, as well as the minion ride and spend most time in Harry Potter. Do you think one full day will be enough (the rest of the rides I don’t mind skipping, at least for this time)? We are planning to go on a Sunday late-April. I’m willing to purchase express pass, but do you think I need the Cool Japan express and another one for Harry Potter + the minion ride?
Also, do you happen to know if knowing Japanese is important to do the Conan event?

I think you can one full day will be enough to so Attack on Titan,Conan,minion ride and Harry potter if you have a express pass.
But there is a busiest holiday called Golden week from 29th of April to 7th of May, so it’s better to purchase express pass earlier.
I’ve never tried Conan, but I think Japanese is important to do Conan event.I tied to call USJ to ask if English support is available for Conan, but it’s always busy.

My family and I are planning to go to USJ in mid-May, most likely on a Thursday. I understand Cool Japan will be featured there during our visit.
Is it plausible/realistic to go on all USJ and Cool Japan rides in one full day if I have both USJ Express Pass (Standard 7) and Cool Japan 4 Express Pass?
If it is plausible/realistic, am I allowed to purchase both Express Passes for USJ standard and Cool Japan for the same day?

Yes, you can purchase both Express Passes for USJ standard and Cool Japan for the same day.You need to purchase Express pass for each family members.
I cannot say definitely, but you can go on all USJ and Cool Japan rides in one full day on weekdays if I have both Express Pass.
But you have to adjust the schedule because Cool Japan Express Pass’s attractions are time-designated.

Hi there,is the express pass usable only for one person? I will bring my 5yo daughter and my wife. I am planning to get the express7 for each of us. However my daughter will not be able to use all 7 passes. For example for the rides with height restrictions. Can I or my wife use it?

I called USJ and they told me basically you cannot use express pass on behalf of your daughter.But you can consult with the crew members and they will decide whether you can use it or not.
